  8.9.3 (2026-07-07)
  ==================
  Bugfix for testing SmartFlux firmware versions less than 2.2.53
  that don't have status servers to display in GUI

  Updated Downloader password for licor user

  8.9.2:
  ==============

  Added leading 0 to sub-zero parameters in RS-232 output combo box.
  Was not able to change the sort order due to unforseen coupling issue
  with embedded ghg.

  Version 8.9.1:
  ==============

  Addressed EC Issue 644:
		Removed the settings in the connect screen for RS-232:
       	 5.0
      	10.0
      	20.0
      Added warning to RS-232 Screen on Outputs section.

  Added logic to not display the sonic file inconsistency check. This addresses
  EC Issue 635.

  Added check to highlight incompatible logging configuration (Continueous above 2Hz)
  and procedural steps outlining how to resolve it.

  Added logic to display error dialog only once when path is blocked or loose cable is
  detected. Otherwise, would display new dialog once per second.

  Removed check for sonic file name consistency due to user complaints. See EC
  Issue 635.

  Version 8.9.0:
  ==============

  Revised compatibility checks to relax backward compatiblity constraints.

  Updated help files and revised version number for release.

  Version 8.8.49:
  ==============

  Added updated help files

  Version 8.8.48:
  ==============

  Renamed Syatem Status to SmartFlux Status on the main page.

  Added Status server support for SF2/3 MAC address. Now, if SF2/3 is behind
  a modem, the status server will provide the MAC address, and win-ghg will
  fill it in accordingly.

  Version 8.8.47:
  ==============

  Corrected flaw in autodownloader in which the scheduled download would not pull
  the files.

  Version 8.8.46:
  ==============

  autodownloader 2.1.0: (2021-04-21):
  Removed "Verify Connection Button" from Instruments Pane

  Added "Retrieve USB Info" button to USB Info pane

  Disabled automatic USB info retrieval when launched with command line parameters

  All panes are now active at startup

  Updated state messages

  Aded sonic file name display to diagnostics when sonic file is flagged as bad
  Added the date of the file if it is flagged as > 33 minutes between files.

  Added logic to confirm that SiteSetup/SonicAnemometer/Height value is greater than zero.

  Added warning triangle to diagnostics page for USB drive when not mounted.

  Version 8.8.45:
  ==============

  Addressed issue of false positive readings on the main page caused buy not
  filtering out the cp2_raw_data_folder content check when the system is
  not a DS system. All instruments provided for testing, read correctly now.

  Addressed issue with file split behaviour also giving a false error for the
  correct setting.

  Addressed issue with autodownloac app not reseting ICOS file count value
  when the connection was refreshed (2.0.8).

  Version 8.8.44:
  ==============

  Added comprehensive logic to disable diagnostics/smartflux and diagnostics/advanced
  tabs when not connected via ethernet.

  Version 8.8.43:
  ==============

  Added additional call in the connect section to handle URL resolution
  Moving from gethostbyname to getaddrinfo, unintentionally disabled
  URL resolution. This has been addressed, and is now working once more.

  Added ICOS count to upper right panel of autodownload program (2.0.7)

  Addressed inconsistent connection mechanism when double clicking
  on an instrument vs pressing the connect button on the connect dialog.

  Added a simple filter on the main form to hold the final status indicator
  at "Assessing..." until all of the elements have been processed.

  Adjusted connect dialog:
   - Replaced "Use LI-7550 IP Address..." with "Modem Connection (Smartflux2 only):"
   - Replaced "NF" with "DIRECT" in IP History line
   - Replaced "F" with "MODEM"

  Removed "Continuous" file split option on USB log rate of 5Hz and above.

  Version 8.8.42:
  ==============

  Added back missing version compatibility balls on the initial connect
  screen.

  Modified the IP history section of the connect screen eliminating the
  select button in favor of simply having the combo box automatically
  populate the fields when the item is selected

  Corrected issue when the app disconnects that it also exits the connnect
  screen

  Adjusted layout of connect screen to (hopefully) reduce confusion in
  new connection methodology

  Permanently enabled the "Reboot" button on the Settings/Network dialog
  to allow a machine to be rebooted anytime regardless of logging state

  Adjusted the file split combobox to only allow 30 minute file splits
  if logging at 5 Hz or greater.

  Added some minor connection logic to handle an edge case in which
  an instrument behind a modem may report a different ip address
  than the forward facing one used to connect to it. Strange on the inside
  but not uncommon apparently.

  After further investigation and testing, found it necessary to add
  a separate port field for the Smartflux Status server, and also
  a checkbox indicating whether the app should assume that the SF23 has
  been port forwarded or not.

  Version 8.8.41:
  ==============
  Refactored the status_server socket connections to use a single socket
  between the main form and the diagnostics form, and to maintain the
  connection once established rather than re-establishing the connection
  each time through the timed loop. It should stabilize the connection
  between the win-ghg app and the SF2/3 unit and make the app more
  responsive.

  Revised the downloader app (2.0.6):
  ==============
  Expanded the destination box

  configured winscp to target the destination directory when launched

  added ICOS checkbox selection to the scheduled download option

  Version 8.8.40:
  ==============
  Migrated buttons off of the Diagnostics/Smartflux tab onto a new tab
  labeled "advanced"

  Added two new buttons: Erase onboard data, and format USB drive.

  Implemented new modal dialog for the factory reset, adding a timed wait
  period of 15 seconds before the proceed button is enabled, and also added
  a blinking message indicating the severity of the action.

  Updated the downloader app, spliting the lower panel into two with
  an immediate work flow and a scheduled workflow.

  Version 8.8.39:
  ==============
  Implemented some removal logic on the diagnostics page to hide
  info on the FluxSuite and Data Repository sections if one or the
  other is disabled.

  Revised the downloader app (2.0.4 now) to address excessive information
  retrieval times.

  Addressed missing compabitility colored balls on connect page

  Version 8.8.38:
  ==============
  Adjusted formatting on diagnostics page

  Version 8.8.37:
  ==============
  Adjusted layout of connect screen to address minor shortcoming overlap

  Added a feature where setting USB output to 20Hz automatically sets
  the BandWidth to 10. Setting USB output to 10 Hz automatically sets
  the Bandwidth to 5. All other output settings will have no effect.

  Added a reboot command and a factory reset command to the SF23 status server.
  Both are accessed via buttons on the Smartflux tab of the diagnostics page.

  Hid the reboot SF button from the Smartflux dialog. If the node-windmill
  interface is frozen, it would not work anyway. Putting it in the status server
  means that it will always work.

  Migrated a digest version of the contents of the SF23 Diagnostics page to the main
  page. This will have the following impacts:
    - While on the main page, the status server will be contacted every 15 seconds
    - When transitioning from the main page to the diagnostics, the main page timer
      will be suspended until the diagnostics page is closed. As such, it can take
      up to 15 seconds to redisplay the message on the main page.
    - If anything at all is amiss, it will show that there are issues and recommend
      the user check the system diagnostics page. This level of granularity was
      requested by the Science and Support staff.

  Added a small mechanism to store up to 5 additional IP addresses on the connect
  screen. The controls are extremely basic and should not be difficult to under-
  stand

  Reworked the downloader app to use winscp vs its own internal mechanism. While
  attempting to revise for the new file structure, it was learned that the program
  had an inherent flaw. As such, it would fail after 750 - 850 downloads. This
  posed an unacceptable outcome. To that end, the downloader app has been reworked
  to call winscp for the file transfer.

  Version 8.8.36:
  ==============
  Minor adsjustment on the 2nd Y-Axis. Had to disable it when it is picked
  from the front panel, but enable it when picked from the chart dialog.
  Fortunately, it was a one-liner change. Beyond that, had to adjust the layout
  a bit.

  Re-addressed issue 217 putting back the second Y axis component. Fortunately,
  I'd only hidden it vs deleted it. Whew!

  Addressed issue 534 in which the integration functionality had been disabled.
  It appeated that this was an update started by Michael V. that was left unfinished
  when he departed.

  Added checking code for the diagnostics tab to look up an sf3 by IP address
  rather than name. Ran into one instrument that was displaying 2 names (1 by hostname
  and a different one by mdns. This caused things to break. Corrected by bypassing
  the name look up when an sf3 is involved.

  Added model checks for CR1000 and CR3000 to code to correctly identify
  a CSI logger.

  Undid the "Last Run" clickable link. It neve worked remotely, and is now
  supercedeeeed by the log file transfer on the diagnostics page

  Addressed Project EC Issue #80: Enhancing PC Logging from win-ghg

  Added capability for win-ghg to communicate with smartflux23 version 2.2.50 or higher
  via a socket call on port 5050. Use the resulting status information to provide enhanced
  feedback on the state of various things including:
    EddyPro
    FluxSuite Access
    Clock Settings
    Sonic Data Collection

  Version 8.8.35:
  ==============
  Addressed EC Issue #217, removal of second-Y axis configuration from the
  chart control

  Added mdns lookup of smartflux mac address and display it on smartflux tab
  when a smartflux is connected.

  Adjusted label on diagnostics panel to read "GHG Embedded" vs "Smartflux3" embedded
  to address customer confusion

  Added IPv6 support such that a customer may enter an ipV6 address and the application
  will use it to connect to the instrument rather than going through Bondjour.

  Also flowed the changes through to the autodownloader. It will now support IPv6.

  Version 8.8.34:
  ==============
  Adjusted biomet page and broke apart the conjoined DAqM/Sutron
  instrument list into two separate lists by adding a separate
  DaqM selector radio button

  Augmented instrument name field to restrict it to Alphanumeric
  (i.e., A-Z, a-z, 0-9) along with '-', and '.' only.  This addresses
   project EC issue #44

  Augmented error message on parse errors. Now asks user to confirm
  that they are using compabible software versions between windows and
  embedded.

  Version 8.8.33:
  ==============
  Corrected the biomet page to correctly set the DAqM/Sutron and CSI
  biomet radio buttons depending on what is connected. If nothing is
  connected, it will default to a DAqM setting.

  Corrected Calibration page such that it displays the correct zero
  page content when the dialog is initially opened.

  Corrected Calibration page such that it will now only accept valid
  floating point values in any of the manual calibration fields.

  Added logic to remove whitespace from the sonic serial number and
  sonic software version fields to keep embedded ghg from disconnecting

  Version 8.8.32:   (2019-06-14):
  ==============
  Added code to consistently set the winter/summer setting regardless
    of whether a DS or RS instrument is attached.

  Version 8.8.31:  (2019-05-02)
  ==============
  Removed USB size display from Smartflux tab when instrumetn is a DS

  Version 8.8.30:   (2019-04-17):
  ==============
  Adjusted the windrose chart to more accurately reflect a windrose and also to be more consistent with what FluxSuite displays

  Version 8.8.29:  (2019-04-03):
  ==============
  Adjusted process on retrieving biomet ip address
  in conjunction with embedded ghg adjustment to pass
  serial number and software version for daqm units
  through to win-ghg

  Version 8.8.28:  (2019-03-18):
  ==============
  Minor label change on Biomet Instrument selection page

  Version 8.8.27:  (2019-02-01):
  ==============
  Addressed issue raised by Jiahong Li in which it appeared that the
  analog settings on an LI-7550 were not being committed if it was sent
  from the SiteSetup/Sonic Anemometer/Analog Input Settings path. Conversely
  the settings would stick if they were sent from the Analyzer/Inputs path.
  After investigating, it turned out that the first one called the Show()
  method to display the form while the second called the ShowForm() method.
  The ShowForm() method caused the page to be refreshed with the instrument
  parameters, while the Show() method did not. Consequently, the first
  path, gave the impression of not committing the settings when, in fact,
  the settings were being committed, but not displayed.
  Both paths now call the ShowForm() method.

  Version 8.8.26:  (2019-01-29):
  ==============
  Revised sonic selection section to align metek metadata sonic names with
  those currently being used in eddypro (version: 7.0.0)

  Version 8.8.25:  (2019-01-25)
  ==============
  Revised the Downloader application (now version 2.0.1) to retrieve
  daqm and image files from a host machine. This necessitated an expansion
  of the discovery mechanism to include Smartflux2 devices directly as
  daqm and image files are only ever stored on an SF2 or SF3 device. The
  downloader program will work seemlessly between an embedded 7550, an SF2
  or an SF3 device. The behavior is precisely the same as it was, with the
  new capabilites of downloading the daqm zip files (both regular and backup)
  and image files with a jpg or png extension stored on the SF2 or SF3 devices

  Version 8.8.24: (2019-01-16)
  ==============
  Altered blueprint-utility launch button to utilize environment variable
  to locate the blueprint-utility executable. If the environment varialble
  is not set, that indicates that blueprint is not installed, and the button
  will not appear. If it is set, then the button will appear and be able
  to launch the app.

  Version 8.8.23: (2019-01-16)
  ==============
  Added more interim calls to the embedded system to attempt to make
  win-ghg more responsive.

  Adde a launch Blueprint Utility button. It will launch the blueprint utility
  with the corresponding ip address if the instrument is attached, and will
  launch it without it, if it is not attached.

  Version 8.8.22:
  ==============
  Cross connected the LI-7700 connect/disconnect buttons to the Site-Setup
  CH4 tab. The issue is that when the LI-7700 is either added or removed,
  if the user fails to go to the site-setup CH4 tab and press the apply button,
  then the contents of the co2app.conf file are left in an indeterminant state.
  The CH4 head item will be set correctly, but the model and manufacturer items
  will not be. This is addressed when the user presses the apply button on the
  set-setup CH4 tab which then populates these items correctly.

  Revised phenocam tab on SmartFlux dialog to support a second phenocam

  Partially reverted a recent change applied to the xnode section. Pulled
  the notifyListeners routine out of the value change check as it had the
  unforseen side-effect of suppressing needed clearing notices on the biomet
  data page, and thus causing the table to exhibit an "appending" issue. Data continues
  to be appended to the table rather than refreshed to it. The secondary
  adjustment appears to have addressed this.

  Version 8.8.21:
  ==============
  Revised lable on Radio button on Biomet section to include DAqM
  when selecting a sutron logger. Now it is a Data Acquisition System (DAqM)
  and Suton Logger

  Version 8.8.20:
  ==============
  Re-enabled both RM Young and Metek Digital Sonic Selection

  Augmented xnode parser with additional checks to ensure that when a node
  is written to (ie., updated) that it only notifies it constituent listeners
  if it's value has actually changed. If it is updated with the same value
  that it already has, nothing will happen. This change was in response to
  an issue raised by the support team in which it could be shown that a sonic
  selection would spontaneously change. The issue was traced to an onChange
  event that was being triggered even though the updated value was the same as
  the previous one. Unfortunately, this had a cascade effect of resetting a
  subordinate combo box'es index value even though the parent box had not actually
  changed it's value. This augmented code addresses the problem and will only
  trigger a change when it's new value is actually different than the previous value

  Added 3rd radio button on Sonic select form to allow a user to shut off the
  digital sonic when connected to an SF2 and LI-7550 Combo. When connected
  to an SF3, the Analog radio button simply disappears.

  Addressed state change issue in which a port is initialized to 0 in the analog case
  which throws the LI-7550 embedded parser off. Now it is initialized to 1

  Addressed issue in which main status screen would be removed when the app
  lost connection with the instrument, but it would not be restored if the app
  was able to reconnect with the instrument on its own. Now, it will recover
  the main status screen if the app is able to reconnect with the instrument
  on it's own.

  Version 8.8.19
  ==============
  Removed the option to select RM Young Digital Sonics until such time
  as the Marketing/Scientific group is confident that they've been sufficiently
  tested

  Version 8.8.18
  ==============
  Removed the option to select metek sonics, until such time as EddyPro will
  will be updated to support it.

  Version 8.8.17

  Added support for RM Young 81000RE Sonic in digital connection

  Version 8.8.16
  ==============
  Revised connection check to ensure that app would not flag embedded 8.8.x as being
  incompatible

  Version 8.8.15
  ==============
  Added support for RM Young V, RM Young VRE, Gill HS-100, Metek uSonic3 Class A MP
  Metek uSonic3 Cage MP, and Gill R3-50 sonics on digital channels

  Addressed shortcoming in software where whitespace in either the sonic serial number
  or software version is not accepted by the embedded application. Whitespace is now stripped out

  Adjusted front display to eliminate the sonic line vanishing on a smartflux connection error
  Adjusted smartflux connection error to be less spurious. Now should be a bit more stable

  Version 8.8.14
  ==============
  2018-03-29
  ==========
  Removed zip checkbox from USB logging dialog. Now it will zip alway
  unless continuous logging mode is selected for the split interval.
  Then it will not zip.

  2018-03-13
  ==========
  Revised main.cpp and adjusted text title to accomplish the following:
  a. If connected to a "DS" title will be 7500DS
  b. If connected to a 7500 title will be 7500A/RS
  c. If connected to a 7200 title will be 7200/RS

  2018-03-01
  ==========
  Revised form tools to provide a appCalDir() vs appDataDir() when
  looking at calibration files.

  2018-02-28
  ==========
  Revised Site-Setup dialog to repurpose the analog sonic radio button
  to become a "No Anemometer Attached" radio button when a DS system
  is detected. This allows the user to deselect a sonic altogether from
  a DS system. As such, the config.json file will be set to "none" when
  this option is selected.

  2018-02-26
  ==========
  Added code to address
  a shortcoming in this implementation, in which
  the usb_state_change routine overrides the container settings in
  ch4_head_change. It is clear that Michael had
  intended the ch4_head_change routine to take prescendence,
  however, the usb_state_change_routine gets called every time
  the metadata dialog tabs are opened, and thus the ch4_head_change
  will always be overridden. The following code, addresses that
  issue. It should be noted that the state change is not picked up
  unless the site-setup dialog is actually opened from a closed state. As such,
  it was necessary to add a method in the main form to automatically close and
  reopne the site-setup dialog if it is already
  opened. This will cause the check routine to run and the corresponding
  state change to be picked up.

***********************************************************************
  Version 8.8.13
  ==============
  Corrected disabled custom file upload field. Should be enabled
  when the CSV check box is selected. Now, it is.

  Version 8.8.12
  ==============
  Added "OK (##)" for Signal strenght on diagnostic page

  Added "coming soon" for selection of Metek and RM Young sonics on Site Setup page

  Made Test point page re-appear though additional work will be needed on the embedded side to make it viable

  Will make the configuration page disappear

  Added DSI Number/Name to main status page when connected to DSI. Also Added Head Serial number to DSI
  Connection page

  RT Chart setting will now "stick" and be remembered the next time the app launches

  All modal windows will return to normal state if minimized and the main form button that created them
  is pressed again.

  7x00 button now updates sub-menu correctly when swithing between DS to RS instruments.

  Corrected disconnect when verbose mode is deselected. Added 3 second delay to ensure
  ethernet synchronization

  Addressed calibration page displaying signal strength on zero tab at initial start up

  Corrected handling of model number. SF3 now appears as model SF3

  Revised help files and added a DS specific help file

  Test points tab on the Diagnostics dialog will only appear if an RS machine is attached.
  It will not appear if a DS machine is attached.

  Title of Settings dialog was revised from "Status" to "Settings"

  MAC address was not initially being populated on the settings/network tab when connected to an SF3
  Traced it to an embedded issue.

  Added close button to DS connect dialog

  Version 8.8.11
  ==============
  Partially decoupled Sonic Anemometer connection failure from Smartflux
  connection failure. In 8.8.10, if the sonic connection fails, then
  a smartflux connection failure is also displayed. The issue was traced
  to the "connection" parameter which changes to false when the anemometer fails
  It is not clear if this is intended behavior or not. Regardless, that parameter
  is also used to check Smartflux connectivity, for which it registers a failure
  erroneously. The parse tree which maintains this state information appears
  not to maintain it in relative real-time. Rather, it maintains the last known
  state. As such, it will register a comm failure if the SF unit is down when
  the GHG system boots up, but will show that the SF unit is alive even if it
  fails after boot up. The partial decoupling comes from checking the model
  number associated with the SF unit. This parameter is retrieved from the unit
  after a successful connection to it. As such, if the Anemometer fails, and the
  model is not empty, one can surmise that the SF unit was communicating at one point
  and likely still is. It is not ideal, but it is what we have.

  Altered the sonic connection state displayed on the main page to display current
  state during the connection process, and display the configuration only after
  a successful connection.

  Turned the last run label field into a clickable link that will allow the
  user to download the output file of the last run, if the instrument (SmartFlux)
  has an IPv4 address. If it has an IPv6 address, the link is disabled.

  Renabled the editable hostname field under settings/network. Now the user
  is able to change the name of the SF3 instrument if so desired.

  Added a serial number label field to the SmartFlux dialog. Users can change
  the name on an SF3 but they cannot change the serial number.

  Version 8.8.10
  ==============
  Added a check in the Biomet dialog that will eliminate the spurious error
  message indicating that the user should select a 9120 from the list when
  that has already been done.

  Adjusted the Data repository dialog per Kevin E's direction to turn the
  ICOS CSV option into a checkbox vs radio button and to make all of the
  checkboxes a simple OR relationship rather than an Exclusive OR between
  the top three and the ICOS CSV. Had some difficulty getting the properties
  right and had to duplicate an existing control and simply rename it to
  ICOS CSV to make it all work. It does now.

  Version 8.8.9
  =============
  Adjusted the calibration dialog behavior to disable the CO2/H2O Span
  value text boxes from updating their values after a span or span 2 operation
  has been initiated. Now, the boxes will simply retain the value that the
  user entered before pressing the span button.

  Version 8.8.8
  =============
  2017-09-06
  After the recent loss of Michael Velgersdyk, Douglas Allyn was tasked
  with reviewing the code-base for the GHG Windows application (version
  8.8.7 and addressing the following issues:
      a. Layout of dialogs and ribbon buttons to support display setting
          of 100% and 125%
			-- 8.8.7 has dialogs that become unusable at 125% due to the
			   scrolling controls being cut off on the right side of the
			   dialog
      b. Recover History tab on the Calibration sub-dialog:
          -- 8.8.7 hid the history tab as Michael had planned to address
             it after his return from China. Unfortunately, he didn't
             complete that work.

  8.8.8:
  ======
  100% vs 125% settings:
  ----------------------
  The majority of dialogs affected by the display setting are tabbed
  dialogs implemented on a single form. This form has a default width setting
  which is extra wide in order to accomodate the largest dialog. Michael
  would then, size it down depending on which other dialog was being displayed.
  The problem was that his sizing down was done on the 100% setting, and would
  make the dialogs too small on the 125% setting. Douglas simply removed the
  size down operation and allowed the dialogs to remain extra wide. They
  do not look as nice, but they will work at any display size setting.

  History Tab:
  ------------
  Michael had hidden the history tab if a DS instrument was attached. Douglas
  simply removed that constraint. Michael also disabled the form
  reload/refresh for that tab if a DS instrument was attached. Douglas removed
  that constraint also, and everything appeared to function normally.

  DSP Version:
  ------------
  When a DS is attached, the DSP Version is not correctly populated. At the
  request of the support team, that field is not displayed at all when a DS
  instrument is attached.
